Non-slip floor treatment

Wet tile is the most common slip-and-fall risk in a commercial kitchen, washroom or entryway. Our treatment increases traction on the surfaces you already have — without a thick coating and without changing how the floor looks. Nano Clean treats slippery commercial floors across the Edmonton area.

A treatment, not a coating

Most anti-slip companies in Edmonton apply epoxy or urethane coatings — thick, textured layers designed for warehouse floors and parkades. They work, but they change the appearance of the floor completely, they cost more, and eventually they chip and need redoing.

Ours is a treatment applied to the existing surface. Your tile keeps looking like your tile. It costs less, goes on faster, and there's no coating to chip off later.

Where it matters most

Behind the line, where water and oil land on the floor. Dish pits. Walk-in entrances. Customer washrooms. Building entryways through an Edmonton winter, when everyone tracks in snow and salt.

And anywhere a member of staff has already slipped once. That's usually the call we get.

Surfaces we treat

  • Ceramic and porcelain tileThe most common commercial kitchen floor.
  • TerrazzoCommon in older Edmonton buildings and institutions.
  • ConcreteSealed or unsealed.
  • Marble and natural stoneWithout dulling or etching the finish.
  • Bathtubs and shower floorsFor hotels, care facilities and gyms.
  • Any hard surfaceThat turns slippery when wet.

Common questions

Will it change how my floor looks?

No. It treats the existing surface rather than covering it, so the floor keeps its appearance.

Is it safe for customer areas?

Yes. It's used in washrooms, entryways and dining areas as well as back-of-house kitchens.

How long does it last?

That depends on traffic and your cleaning routine. Barry will give you a realistic expectation for your specific floor rather than a number off a brochure.

Should the floor be cleaned first?

Yes, and we do both in one visit. Treatment works best on properly cleaned tile and grout.

Is this the same as an epoxy anti-slip coating?

No. Epoxy and urethane systems are thick coatings that change the look and feel of the floor and are built for industrial settings. This is a treatment applied to your existing surface — different product, different price, different buyer.
